Admission in the current 2024-2025 school year

Limited spaces are still available in Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten. Upon receipt of your online application, our Admissions team will contact you to arrange a face to face interview. Entrance interviews are currently conducted on an individual or small group basis.

Admission in the 2025-2026 School Year

Online application for September 2025 began on Wednesday, 2nd October 2024. Applications received on or after 31 December 2024 will be reviewed individually and accepted on a rolling basis. Interview invitations will be sent approximately 2 weeks before the interview date by email.

About  Admission Interviews

1. Non-ICMS students: Interviews are conducted on an individual or small group basis.
2. ICMS students: Interviews will be waived if the applicant is a current student in any of our Montessori playgroup programs.

Current Playgroup Students

Current playgroup students have priority consideration for admission, but must follow the same application procedure.

 

Current Pre-Casa (Pre-Nursery) Students

Current Pre-Casa (Pre-Nursery) students will receive an invitation to join the Casa program, pending age and readiness. There is no need to apply to Casa separately.

 

Former Students

Students who attended ICMS before but now wish to be re-admitted are required to apply anew.

Phase 1:  Applications received between 2nd October to 31st December 2024

• Approximately two weeks before the entrance interview, applicants will receive an email invitation to attend the interview.
• Rescheduling an entrance interview appointment is possible only once.
• Applicants will receive their interview results by email no later than mid-February 2025.

Phase 2:  Applications received after 1st January 2025

For applications submitted on or after 1st January 2025, the interview process will begin in February 2025. Applicants will receive their Interview results by email within 1 month after their entrance interview.

Placement Offer

1. Priority placement will be given to:

• • Currently enrolled ICMH playgroup students
  • Siblings of current ICMS students

2. Successful applicants will receive a Placement Offer by email. Parents must complete the registration process by the deadline stated on the Offer Letter to confirm their acceptance of the offer, usually 14 days from the date of the letter.
3. If an applicant’s interview is successful but the preferred class session or campus is full, parents will be given the option to join another class session, campus or waitlist for the preferred class session.
4. Parents who do not reply to the Placement Offer by the deadline stated on the Offer Letter, the offer will not be held past the deadline. After the deadline has passed, parents should contact admissions@icms.edu.hk regarding space availability.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

1. Please read the application procedure carefully before applying.
2. To prevent our email from going to your junk or spam folder, please add admissions@icms.edu.hk to your email address book before applying.
3. After submitting your child’s online application, please do not mail in your application again.

Please have these documents ready at the time of your online application. JPEG images or scanned documents are accepted.

1. Passport-sized recent photograph of the applicant.
2. Copy of applicant’s birth certificate. See #5 below for non-local families.
3. Copy of applicant’s immunization record.
4. Non-refundable $40 application fee (paid by credit card when completing the online form).
5. Children born outside Hong Kong – please submit proof of HK residency status from the Director of Immigration.

1. Applicants will receive an email invitation approximately 2 weeks after we receive your child’s online application.
2. On the day of the interview, please present the invitation email to our reception staff.
3. Entrance interviews will be conducted on an individual or small group basis.
4. Only one parent can accompany the child during the interview. Switching of parents will not be permitted once the interview has started.
5. The interview lasts approximately 30 minutes.
6. Interview results will be sent by email. Please contact us if you do not receive admission results 2 weeks after your child’s entrance interview.

Acceptance of the offer must accompany the required documents and payments stated on the Offer Letter, submitted to our School Office on or before the acceptance deadline.
